Symbolism:

The open hand is extended as a welcoming greeting symbolizing trust, equality and appreciation.  The traditional handshake spans generations as a “Friendly” gesture.  Society members welcome the opportunity to enter into relationships, trusting in the commitment to look for the GOOD in others, believing in the equality of individuals and appreciative of all relationships.

The extended open hand is encompassed by a belt and a sash joined together in an unending circle with the inscription “Friendly Fellows”.  The circle signifies fidelity and unity among all members of the Society seeking the GOOD in others as they are bound by the common goal.  The belt and sash forming the circle signifies that Friendly Fellows are a Society of men and women without division.

The open hand and circle are in gold complementing a blue background and the Friendly Fellows inscription.  The gold symbolizes the Society’s rich values and positive, unyielding commitment to find the best in others while the blue represents dependability and unity of purpose within the Society of Friendly Fellows.
